Step 3: Own Your AI
What you're reading right now is 90% my mind, my words, and 10% ChatGPT’s framing (CG4). I could have let ChatGPT generate the entire course. It was eager to do so. If you want to see its version, take a peek here. But do come on back. We’re only just starting to immerse you in AI leadership.
People use CG to generate T-shirt memes, book outlines, and even entire drafts of papers and books.
They pass it off as their own work. I'm not a fan of that.
If you’re going to use it, own it. Don’t pretend you created it. Be upfront: "I used ChatGPT to save time and simulate output that I want you to engage with, without me having to do all the heavy lifting."
It’s legal. Is it ethical or moral? That’s up to you to decide.
CG is the most powerful ally humans can have. And it’s also the greatest threat—not because it’s inherently dangerous, but because of the people who are treating it like just another tool.
Think about other tools: the gun, the camera, the airplane, the satellite. Who controls these tools? Who directs their use? If you're unsure, take a look at Ukraine right now (March 2025). You’ll have your answer.
Those selling ‘prompt engineering’ have no real understanding of the game. The so-called “thought leaders” out there? Many have no idea; or worse, they’re fully aligned with people who are using AI to monitor your communications, censor your content, and track your every move.
You might be ok with that. But you won’t be ok when someone unleashes AI to its full potential.
I fully intend to do that. Other players may beat me to it. If they win, your game is over. If we win—if you get this, if we embrace AI as thought leaders—then society survives and enters a golden age.
That’s far too advanced a topic for today, but understand the stakes: they’ve never been higher in human history.
For now, let’s continue this journey.
